Weekly Pulse — Private Check-In

The weekly check-in that surfaces what no one said out loud.

Every family member fills out a short private pulse each week — how they're feeling, what's been hard, what they're proud of. Parents see the patterns. Kids know they've been heard. It's a small ritual that catches a lot.

A lot of what's hard in a family goes unspoken — not because anyone is hiding it, but because there's no moment designed for it. The usual check-ins are quick. The difficult things don't come up at dinner. By the time someone says something, it's already been weighing on them for a while.

The Weekly Pulse creates a regular moment for each person to say how they actually are — privately, in writing, without needing to bring it up in conversation. The results are shared with parents but not visible to siblings. It's structured honesty in a low-stakes format.

What the pulse asks

Each week, the pulse has five short questions — a mix of multiple choice and short text. How are you feeling this week? How connected to the family do you feel? How's your stress level? What was your biggest win? What does the family need more of? The questions are the same each week so you can track how answers change over time.

Each person fills out their own. It takes less than two minutes. Stars are awarded for completing it, which for kids creates a small incentive to show up consistently.

"A weekly pulse isn't a therapy session. It's a signal — a way to know, once a week, where everyone actually stands."

What parents see

In the Connect tab, parents see a summary of who has completed the pulse this week and what the general tone has been. If one family member has been marking high stress for several weeks, or low connection, you see it. You can respond — bring it up gently, plan a one-on-one, adjust something in the family's week.

It doesn't tell you what to do with the information. But it gives you the information, consistently, so you're not finding out something important only after it's become a crisis.

The full-house bonus

When every family member completes the pulse in the same week, the whole family earns a bonus star award — the Full Family Pulse bonus. It's a small incentive for collective participation, and it gives parents a natural moment to acknowledge that everyone showed up.

It's due by Sunday. It resets every week. Simple enough that it actually becomes a habit.
