The short version
We built Family Basecamp for our own family. We don't sell your data. We don't show you ads. We collect the minimum information needed to run the service and protect it carefully. That's it.
Family Basecamp collects the following information when you use our service: email address (for account creation on paid plans), family data you enter such as names, schedules, chores, and goals, and basic usage data such as which features you use most. We do not collect sensitive personal information, financial data beyond what you voluntarily enter into the finance board, or data from children under 13 without parental consent.
We use your information to run and improve the Family Basecamp service, to respond to your support requests, and to send you product updates if you've opted in. We do not use your information for advertising, do not sell it to third parties, and do not share it with anyone except as required to provide the service (such as our hosting provider).
Your family data is stored in secure cloud infrastructure. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest. The shared storage feature used by Family Basecamp is scoped to your family's instance — other families cannot access your data. We retain your data for as long as your account is active and will delete it upon request.
Family Basecamp is designed for family use and includes features for children. Children's profile information (name, color, icon) is entered by parents. We do not collect personal information directly from children under 13, and parents can delete any child's data at any time by contacting us.
Family Basecamp participates in the Amazon Associates affiliate program. When you click hardware links on our site and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. We only recommend products we actually use and believe in.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights, email us at hello@familybasecamp.com. We will respond within 30 days. You may also export your family data from the app at any time.
